Michael
P. Pacin, M.D.
Dr.
Pacin, the founder of the Florida Center for Allergy
& Asthma Care and Research, Was born in Chicago,
IL, and graduated from Washington University in
St. Louis, MO, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
He also graduated from Washington University School
of Medicine. He did his internship and residency
in Internal Medicine at Barnes- Jewish in St. Louis
and Jackson Memorial in Miami. He completed his
Fellowship Training in Allergy and Immunology in
Long Beach, CA at the University of California Irvine.
Dr. Pacin started the practice in South Dade in
1974 and is a Diplomat of the American Board of
Internal Medicine and the American board of Allergy
and Immunology. Dr. Pacin also helped to found and
is the Principal Investigator in many clinical trials
for Florida Center for allergy & Asthma Research,
he serves as an Expert Witness for law practices
around the country as well as doing pro bono work
for the State of Florida. Dr. Pacin is a member
of the Advisory Board for the Washington University
Medical Alumni Association as well as The Dade County
Medical Association (DCMA), Florida Medical Association
(FMA), Palm Beach Medical Association (PBMA), both
the American College and American Academy of Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI, ACAAI), Joint Council
of Allergy, Athma and Immunology (JCAAI), and the
American Association of Certified Allergists (AACA).

Joan C. Gluck, M.D.
Dr.
Gluck is a fellow of the American College of Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology and Board Eligible in both
Pediatrics and Allergy. She received her M.D. from
New York University and completed her fellowship
in Allergy and Immunology at University of Miami
Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gluck has been with
Florida Center for Allergy and Asthma Care for almost
thirty years. She is one of the nations' leading
experts in the area of asthma and pregnancy, authoring
several book chapters and articles on this subject.
She is also a past president of the Florida Allergy
Society and the Greater Miami Pediatric Society.
Dr. Gluck is currently Chair of the American College
of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology’s Women’s
Health Committee (2005) and is on the Florida International
University College of Education Advisory Board.
Dr. Gluck is also a principal investigator for our
research center. |

Jaime
Landman, M.D.
Dr.
Landman has been with Florida Center for Allergy
& Asthma Care since 1994. Dr. Landman is Board
Certified in Allergy and Immunology, as well as
Pediatrics. He completed his residency in Pediatrics
at Miami Children’s Hospital and received
his M.D. from the University of Peru. Dr. Landman
completed his fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey. |

Zevy Landman,
M.D.
Dr.
Landman is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology
and Board Certified in Pediatrics following a three
year residency in Pediatrics at Miami Children's Hospital.
He completed his fellowship in Allergy and Asthma
at Yeshiva University Montefiore Medical School. Dr.
Landman is a member of the American Academy of Allergy,
Asthma, & Immunology and the American College
of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He has been treating
both children and adults at our practice since 1997. |

Philip
C. Mirmelli, M.D.
Dr.
Mirmelli graduated with honors from the University
of Miami. He obtained the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA)
Honor Medical Society, Doctor/Patient Relationship
Award, Warren W. Quillian Award for Excellence in
Pediatrics. He obtain additional pediatric training
at the Children's Hospital National Medical Center
in Washington, D.C., and specialized in Allergy
and Immunology at the University of Miami Hospital.
Dr. Mirmelli is a Diplomat of the American Board
of Pediatrics, Diplomat of the American Board of
Allergy and Immunology, a conjoint board of the
American Board of Internal Medicine and the American
Board of Pediatrics. He was a former member of the
Board of Directors of Pediatric Lung Committee -
American Lung Association. Dr. Mirmelli belongs
to different societies such as American Medical
Association (AMA), American College of Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), Joint council of
Allergy and Immunology (JCAI), Florida Medical Association
(FMA), and the Broward County Medical Association
(BCMA). |

Frank
J. Martell, M.D.
Dr.
Martell obtain his medical degree at University
of South Florida College of Medicine. He specialized
in Allergy and Immunology at Duke University Medical
Center in Durham, NC. Dr. Martell has been certified
by the Board of Internal Medicine, and the American
Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Martell is
a member of the American Medical Association, Dade
County Medical Association, Florida Medical Association,
American College of Physicians, American College
of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI), and
the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology
(AAAAI) societies.

Charlene
Shookoff, M.D.
Dr.
Shookoff completed her fellowship in Allergy &
Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine
in Bronx, New York. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics
following her residency at Lincoln Hospital in New
York. Dr. Shookoff is Board Eligible in Allergy
& Immunology and treats both adults and children
at Florida Center For Allergy & Asthma Care.

Elias
Salama, M.D.
Dr.
Salama obtained his degree at Buenos Aires Medical
School, in Argentina. He has had an extensive training
in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Pediatric
Allergy. He did his residency in Pediatric Allergy
at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn NY. He was the
Director of the Pediatric Department at Peekskill
Community Hospital for several years. Later he had
his own Pediatrics and Allergy Practice. Dr. Salama
is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics
and he is also eligible for the American Board of
Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Salama is a member of
the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American
Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI),
Florida Medical Association, and Broward County
Medical Association.

Martin
Correa, M.D.
Dr. Correa is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, as well as in Pediatrics. He completed his fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and his Pediatric residency at University Hospital in Puerto Rico. Dr Correa received his medical degree from the University of Cartagena and did a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Immunology at the National Institutes of Health, Frederick, MD. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Association of Immunologists.

Ileana
Rodicio, M.D.
Ileana Rodicio treats Adult and Pediatric patients
at the Kendall Baptist and Homestead locations. Originally
from Cuba, Dr. Rodicio completed her residency in
General Internal Medicine at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital
Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
She completed her fellowship in Allergy & Immunology
at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell University.
Dr. Rodicio is board certified the American Board
of Allergy & Immunology and by the American Board
of Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the
American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology
and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Jose Carpio
Dr. Jose Carpio recently joined FCAAC and will be treating adult and pediatric patients at the Homestead and Aventura locations. Dr. Carpio was born in El Salvador and completed his training at the University of El Salvador. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Louisiana State University. He performed his fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology at Downstate Medical Center in New York. Dr. Carpio has been in private practice from 1986 to 1990 in El Salvador. He is Board eligible in Pediatrics and in Allergy/Immunology. Dermatologic diseases and asthma are Dr. Carpio's main area of specialty. Dr. Carpio has als participated in numersous research studies in Miami. He is fluent in English and Spanish. |

Dr. Sharlene Llanes
Dr. Sharlene Llanes treats adult and pediatric patients at the Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs and Plantation locations. Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Llanes completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. She completed her fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. Llanes is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology and Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy &Immunology, the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and American Academy of Pediatrics (Section on Allergy and Immunology). Dr. Llanes is fluent in English and Spanish. |

Walter M. Ryan, MD
Dr. Walter M. Ryan III is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology. He is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He treats both adult and pediatric patients at our Boca Raton, Coral Springs and Plantation offices. Dr. Ryan III completed his fellowship in Allergy and Asthma at SUNY—Buffalo, NY. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) , the Joint Council of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (JACI) and the Massachusetts Allergy and Asthma Society (MAAS). |
